MID AMERICA DESIGNS and ZIP PRODUCTS sell remote adjustable shock absorber
systems utilizing the HYRAD Technology for 1984 and newer Corvettes through
their catalogs and through
a
network of Corvette specialty shops nationwide. If you own a Corvette of
any year, be sure to request the latest catalogs from MID AMERICA DESIGNS
and ZIP PRODUCTS. Both catalogs are filled with parts and accessories for
Corvettes of any vintage. The Corvette remote adjustable shock absorber
system is an easy retrofit that requires virtually no modification to the
car. So, when the Corvette's driving days are over, it can be easily restored
to original equipment status by reinstalling the original shocks. The remote
adjustable system is similar to the FX-3 option that was available as original
equipment. The main difference is that the HYRAD Technology system has
a much broader range of adjustment, is designed primarily to enhance performance
rather than comfort, and costs a lot less. In fact, some FX-3 systems are
being replaced by the HYRAD Technology system because of the high cost
of replacement parts for the FX-3 system. Refer to the outline
drawing of a late model Corvette to see the recommended
layout of the HYRAD Technology system. The control panel is placed in the
center storage console where it is hidden from view but is still readily
accessible by the driver.
